This is probably the quickest and easiest “recipe” ever! And it’s so good! When I was younger, we would have chips and taco dip on movie nights instead of popcorn. We always looked forward to it and I remember being so impressed with myself because I could make it on my own. That’s right! It’s so easy, your kids can make it for you! So when you’re getting ready for the Super Bowl this year, have your kiddos or your husband {yes, even he can do it!} take care of this for you!
I love this dip with Ruffles chips, but tortilla chips and even sliced bell peppers are good too. I mix this directly in the sour cream container so you can just pop the lid back on and stick it in the fridge! Eat right out of the container, or dump it in a fancy bowl when guests arrive! I promise I won’t tell! You can also make your own taco seasoning if you want to make it healthier.
- 16 oz Sour Cream
- 1 packet Taco Seasoning
- Add entire packet of taco seasoning to sour cream container. Mix well.
- Seal with lid and store in refrigerator until serving.
I’m sure there are tons of fun things you could add to this dip and even more fun ways to eat it! Enjoy!

Woah that's easy! I just made taco dip too...this would have been easier :)
Hehe! I bet your taco dip was ridiculously amazing though! :)
This is so smart! I never thought about using a taco seasoning in a dip!
It really is! I'm glad someone figured that out and passed the idea along!! :)
Mmm... that looks so good and so easy!
It definitely is both!! You must try it! :)
So simple, but sounds delicious! I have often mixed cream cheese and salsa, but this would be easier and wouldn't require a mixer!
OooOOoo! That sounds good too! I've never tried that but I think I need to! :)
Easy peasy!! Great fast dip!
You bet! And if you don't give away your secrets, no one will know it only took you 30 seconds to make! ;)
Love it!
I love it too! :)
Sounds like a great combination! I will have to pin so I remember it...

It really is! And it really is so yummy too!
I have been making this forever and none of my friends ever believe it is so easy! I top mine with shredded cheese and diced fresh tomatoes! Yummy!
Oooh yum!! I always think about adding things to it, but always just leave it plain! I'll have to try that :)
Wow, that is easy!
Thanks for sharing.
