Egg Hunt Treat Bags + Sign

If you’ve been around a while, you know how much I love working with Kristy of Life-n-Reflection! Not only is she the sweetest, she’s incredibly talented and creates the most adorable printables. This month she sent me her printable Egg Hunt Pennant Banner and {free} Sign. SO CUTE! After my heart finished melting I turned the pennant banner into fun little treat bags. And the printable sign goes with them perfectly! Egg Hunt Treat Bags + Sign I whipped up these insanely cute treat bags in no time! The little baby chicks {or “quack quacks” as my little one calls them} are the most adorable little guys and make my heart all warm and fuzzy inside. So I smiled at them for a while and then made some little favors out of the leftover treat bags I had from this project. So easy! And I love how the Egg Hunt Sign fits right in since they are filled with little chocolate eggs. It’s the perfect backdrop! Egg Hunt Treat Bags + Sign You will need:

1. Download and print your Egg Hunt Sign. Then jump out and down, do a little dance, and give Kristy a virtual high-five for offering it as a free gift! Then put it in a frame. Phew! That was easy.

2. Fill a treat bag with some Mini Cadbury Eggs {or your choice of treats}.

3. Download, print, and cut your Egg Hunt Pennant Banner. After you admire the cute little chickies for a while, lay one piece of the banner over the front of your treat bag and staple it closed. No need to fold it over the top or anything. And repeat until you’ve got as many bags as you need! Super easy!Egg Hunt Treat Bags + Sign I decided to make healthier treat bags for my little dumpling, so I put some sunflower seeds {with no shell} in them. I made one with a chick, and one with the patterned frame, which I found was the perfect spot to write “Chick Feed” in! Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of that one, but you get the idea. You could also write a little “To” and/or “From” in that space too! One of them is going in her Easter basket!Egg Hunt Treat Bags + Sign Cute, right?! I just love them!! And I’m keeping these printables in my stash to use again next year. That’s the beauty of it, you can print them however many times you want! If you want to check out all of Kristy’s adorable printables, you can find visit her blog, shop, and Facebook page!

Cheddar Bunny “Carrots” and Matching Gift Tags

You’ve probably seen these “carrots” all over Blogland already {these are my favorite!}, but I couldn’t resist sharing mine and had to make cute little matching gift tags for them! They are ADORABLE! And they are perfect for Easter baskets. Just ask the Easter Bunny. I sent him two hoping he would put them in my little girl’s Easter basket. Not only did he do just that, he sent me photos too! Cheddar bunny "Carrots" and Free Matching Printable Gift TagsHe also sent me photos of another printable Easter basket stuffer I sent him, that you can grab here. Now that we’ve covered how I have photos of my babe’s Easter basket before it actually arrives, let’s get to the fun stuff! When filling your carrots, you must use Cheddar bunnies. The goldfish are cute, but the bunnies are where it’s at! So perfect for Easter! Plus they’re organic. Yep. I’m totally one of THOSE moms. ;)Cheddar bunny "Carrots" and Free Matching Printable Gift TagsYou will need:

1. Fill a bag with crackers {but not too full so you can grab a good amount at the top to twist closed}. Twist the top of the bag tightly and wrap a little tape around it to keep it in place. Cut off any excess bag sticking up above the tape.

2. You can tie twine or ribbon around the top. Or you can use streamers to make a fun little carrot top! Just cut some slits on one long end of a green streamer, and put tape on one short end to attach it to the carrot. Then wrap it around and around until you get the thickness you want. Tape it in place and trim the excess streamer.

3. Print and cut out your printable gift tags. Punch a hole in the top. Attach them with a little twine and you’re all set!Cheddar bunny "Carrots" and Free Matching Printable Gift TagsI’m telling you, these photos don’t do them justice! They are the cutest! And are a great solution for those avoiding candy and looking for healthier snacks {like me}. Who am I kidding? They’re great even if you’re not! These free printable tags can be used on other gifts as well! They would even make great cupcake toppers!

DIY Easter Coloring Pack

This has to be one of my FAVORITE printables so far! I wanted to put together a cute little coloring set for my little one to take to Easter dinner this weekend. So I made {free} printable bag tags and two sets of coloring pages to make it happen! I plan to throw a couple of these packs in the diaper bag and give them to her after dinner when she starts to get a little bored. I know she’ll have fun coloring and passing out her little pieces of art to family members! She’ll also love the sweet surprise. I can’t wait to give it to her! So until then, I’ll share it with you!DIY Coloring Pack: Free Printable Tags and Coloring PagesI printed the coloring pages on cheap cardstock paper to make them more like small cards and to give them a little weight. You can fit about six of these coloring pages in a bag filled with Crayons if you print on cardstock, but you may have to trim them a little more {depending on the size of your bags} to get them to fit. Or you can print on regular paper and probably fit a few more in there! You can also make packs of coloring pages alone! They look super cute, so I made both! :) DIY Coloring Pack: Free Printable Tags and Coloring PagesYou will need:

  • Clear treat bags {Size 3x4 inches- I had two different brands in this size, and one was a little bigger than the other. Go with the larger one if you have the option!}
  • Crayons
  • Printable bag tag {download below}
  • Printable coloring pages {download below}
  • Stapler

1. Fill a treat bag with as many Crayons as you can.

2. Slip coloring pages behind the Crayons {facing away from the them so that if you happen to color on the page while sliding them in, you color on the back of one... you don't want angry kids mad at you for coloring on their pages!}. Trim smaller if necessary. I printed mine on cardstock.

3. Fold bag tag {also printed on cardstock} in half where the pattern changes direction in the center so that the blank side is on the inside. Place the tag around the top of the bag and staple in place. Done! DIY Coloring Pack: Free Printable Tags and Coloring PagesI’ve got two sets of coloring pages for you, each include six pages. I made a “boy” and a “girl” set. I thought it would be fun to do a set for each, but both will work for boys and girls! My daughter will have both! I asked the Easter Bunny to put a few packs in her Easter basket so she’ll have them for dinner Sunday evening. He seemed pretty excited about it and sent me this picture:DIY Coloring Pack: Free Printable Tags and Coloring Pages Just click the links below to download. Then print, cut, and assemble your packs! It's hard to see in the pictures, but it says "Happy Easter" inside the little white bunny. It will print clearly and you will be able to get a better view when you download it. There is even enough space to write a little "To: Insert Name Here" and/or "From: Insert Name Here" on the bunny, if you're giving these as favors or gifts!DIY Coloring Pack: Free Printable Tags and Coloring Pages

St. Patrick’s Day Cupcake Toppers

Happy {almost} St. Patrick’s Day! I was never really a big St. Patrick’s Day fan before {probably because I always forget to wear green}, but now that I have a kiddo, I love it! And I love finding any excuse to do something a little extra special for her. So I whipped up some cute little cupcake toppers this week, and I’m excited to share them with you today!  St. Patrick's Day Cupcake Toppers :: Free PrintableThis idea popped in my head when I was at World Market the other day, and came across these ADORABLE little ramekins. They have the word “pinch” at the bottom, and are perfect for St. Patrick’s Day! Although I don’t think that’s what they were intended for since there are other colors and sayings available, but it works! So I really want to use them for breakfast on St. Patrick’s day and I think this will be so cute sitting on the table all ready for my little one!St. Patrick's Day Cupcake Toppers :: Free PrintableYou could use these toppers in little bowls of Lucky Charms, fruit, popcorn, sprinkles, and candy. Or use them as they were meant to be used, and stick them in cupcakes! If you have any other ideas, I want to hear them!

I made sure to include a “Happy St. Patrick’s Day” topper along with the “take a pinch” topper too! Then just print, cut, and attach them to some type of stick! I used lollipop sticks and a little tape on mine. Super easy!St. Patrick's Day Cupcake Toppers :: Free Printable

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

St. Patrick’s Sensory Bin & Kool-Aid Dyed Rice

I don’t care how much rice I’ve had to clean up since making my first sensory bin, it’s totally worth it! These sensory bins are so much fun to not only play with {I may or may not be talking about myself here}, but they’re also fun to put together! I love how bright and colorful this St. Patrick’s sensory bin is with the Kool-Aid dyed rice. It’s so pretty! And smells delicious.St. Patrick's Sensory Bin and Kool-Aid Dyed Rice If you read my last sensory bin post, you know I yoinked this idea from my lovely friend Melissa, of Mama Miss. She is a sensory bin genius. And if you follow me on Instagram {if not, you should join me!}, you know she sent me a package full of goodies recently. I got some fun stuff for the bin, but my daughter had other ideas for some of it! We did use the big coins she sent and they are my little one’s favorite part. They’re a good size, so I don’t worry too much about her sticking them in her mouth. But you never know, so we only have supervised play time with our sensory bins.St. Patrick's Sensory Bin and Kool-Aid Dyed RiceI dyed the rice this time, and it was so flippin’ easy! And quick! It smells good too. Mmmm, lemon-lime! I love the smell of Kool-Aid. I would wear Cherry Kool-Aid perfume if they made it. Anyway, Melissa has a great tutorial on how to dye rice with Kool-Aid! Hop on over to read about it in more detail and why she prefers it to food coloring. I followed her directions and for my small bin, it went a little something like this:

You will need:

  • 3 cups white rice
  • 3 tsp rubbing alcohol
  • 1 1/2 tsp Kool-Aid {1 1/2 packets of Lemon-Lime}
  • Gallon Ziploc freezer bag
  • Tin Foil

1. Dump rice in a gallon-sized Ziploc bag. Add Kool-Aid. Add rubbing alcohol.

2. Seal the bag and shake it like a polaroid picture until the rice is evenly colored.

3. Let it sit for 15 minutes. Then dump it out on a piece of tin foil and spread it out so it can dry. I forgot to let it sit in the bag and dumped it out right away. Oopsie. Luckily it turned out just fine.

4. Let it dry overnight. It will stick together when it dries. But don't panic. Just break it up into your bin and you’re good to go! St. Patrick's Sensory Bin and Kool-Aid Dyed RiceYou won’t believe how easy it is! It probably takes a whole minute or two to make {minus drying time}. Which is a really good thing, because you'll lose some of your rice to the vacuum cleaner. Especially if your husband is supervising sensory play time. Again, if you follow me on Instagram, you’ll see what I mean!St. Patrick's Sensory Bin and Kool-Aid Dyed RiceSt. Patrick's Sensory Bin and Kool-Aid Dyed RiceLook at that pretty rice! Isn’t this fun?! I just love these bins so much! And I’m planning an Easter one as we speak! Woo!
