Before you make fun of me for the sayings on these magnets, let me remind you that they are personalized! :) While I was the one who was born a blonde {I have to say it that way since my roots may tell you otherwise now}, I’m pretty sure my youngest sister should have been instead. She says the most hilarious things sometimes, and some of them are too funny to forget. So I’ve been trying to figure out a way to incorporate them into a birthday gift for her. I thought about making a print instead, but wanted to go with something smaller and more fun. Some bright, colorful magnets seemed perfect!
This first saying, she actually said in all seriousness to my mom one day. I wasn’t even there, but when I heard the story, I laughed so hard I cried! It still makes me laugh when I think about it. And we will never let her forget it! The second magnet I won’t even try to explain. It’s more of an inside joke that probably wouldn’t be amusing to anyone else! :) I also made a few really cute magnetic clothespins to go along with it. Then printed out a picture of “M” and had her draw a little picture for her Auntie, to hang from the clothespins.
I do have to warn you that these magnets are not very strong at all. I would say they are more for decoration than actually holding anything. I guess that’s where the clothespins come in. But I think it’s worth it, they are way too cute!
Here’s how to make your own set of magnets!
You will need:
- Printable Magnet Sheets
- Printer
- Scissors
1. Use a program to design your magnet, or print out a graphic, saying, or whatever you want! Sky’s the limit. I used a digital scrapbook kit to design mine. The little pinwheels were part of it so all I had to do was print them!
2. Print on a magnet sheet.
3. Cut them out.
Too easy! Well, unless you have a hard time cutting a straight line like I do. Mine always end up a little smaller than planned. ::wink::
Now you have a fun personalized gift! And your recipient will not only enjoy this meaningful gift, but they’ll have a much prettier refrigerator too!

These are too stinkin' cute! I absolutely love the little pinwheels. Oh my. I want some. You make the cutest stuff!
Aren't the pinwheels cute? I love them too! I just wish they were strong enough to hold things!
These are adorable!! My mil comes out with the funniest sayings too, I think I'll definitely have to start writing them down and do something like this with the best ones :)
You really should! These things can't be forgotten ;) And that is such a good idea to write them down! My mom always said I should do that with my hubby, but I never did for some reason. I think I should start :)
That is THE BEST idea to personalize sayings... we are always making fun of my Dad for the stuff he comes up with. I need to start writing things down like the previous commenter said! Your pictures are always so beautiful... awesome, as usual! xoxo jules
Thank you so much, Julia! I bet your dad is too funny! My hubby is usually the one to say the crazy stuff, and it cracks me up! Although I need to find another way to display his comments, because my fridge would be full if I did it this way ;) I'm going to have to start writing things down too! And thank you so much for the sweet comment on my pictures, I was having a hard time with these! So that made me very happy :)
