Are you ready for another crazy easy project? Good. Because this one is SO easy to make! You can make a bunch of these paint chip trees really quickly and the results are too cute! I made some of these little trees last year, but with a toddler helping me take out the Christmas decorations, those tiny fingers destroyed a few. They don’t look so cute all wrinkled up, torn, and covered in drool. So I decided to let her keep those and make a few more with some paint chips I had on hand. Yes, I’m a hoarder. Not really. Okay maybe a little.
Another great thing about these trees, they’re super inexpensive. Half of your supplies are free! Although I don’t encourage taking tons of paint samples {maybe just a few}, but there’s nothing wrong with a little recycling. So don’t throw all those samples you grab throughout the year! There are tons of project ideas out there to help you use those paint chips up. And the color choices are endless!
You probably don’t need me to tell you how to do this, but I have to or I won’t feel complete. ;)
You will need:
- Paint chips
- Cinnamon sticks
- Glue
1. Cut triangles out of paint chips.
2. Glue to cinnamon stick. I had a box of the decorative ones from Target, and just picked out the fattest ones. The thinner sticks don’t always like to stand.
And done!
See how easy that was? The kiddos could even help out with this project! Although if they’re young, watch out for this:
Those would be two of my trees being used as Christmas tree ornaments. Luckily this was such an easy project, I didn’t cry at all. Plus, they look kinda cute laying there in the tree. Gotta love the little ones!
I hope everyone is enjoying this holiday season! And doing plenty of fun Christmas crafts! Don’t forget to add this one to your list, and come back and tell me how much you love them!

These are so cute! Plus, I'm sure they smell great with that cinnamon stick! You gotta love almost free crafts! I really think these are adorable. Especially if you turned them into a garland! LOVE!

Thanks for the fun how-to! these are very cute, and a great way to reuse those paint chips! Am I the only one who can't pick a color of paint without at least 20 of these things? hehe
No way! You are not the only one, but I'm probably much worse! I go through about 457 paint chips, 45 gallons of the wrong color, and then I finally just settle on a color that is kind of what I wanted! Haha! :)
oh yes, those are adorable! They would make a cute garland too! I came over from Six Sisters Stuff to invite you to sign up to win one of three photo books up for grabs. come on over and enter the giveaway!!!
