It’s only about two weeks AFTER Halloween, and I’m just now sharing my little one’s costume with you! And I have to apologize in advance for the not so great pictures, I am a HUGE privacy freak, and this was the best I could do. :)
So I thought Little Red Riding Hood would be the perfect costume for “M”. She loves wearing pretty much anything on her head, so a hood seemed perfect. Then there’s the apron my sister brought her from Lowes that she loves wearing. So she should enjoy another one, right? Then you have her love for baskets. The silverware basket in the dishwasher, for example, so much fun to play with. And we all know Little Red had a big old basket full of goodies for grandma. BAM! The perfect costume.
Or not. She refused to wear the hood, probably because I really wanted her to. That must have sent some sort of signals to her. What? You want me to wear this? Then, no. She wore it long enough for me to take some pictures though! I think I made it a little too long, so I’m crossing my fingers she wants to be Little Red Riding Hood again next year. I can dream. :)
She looked super cute! And had a lot of fun picking out rocks to put in her basket. I love that she can still use the apron too. I actually want to make her some more with different fabric. And I’m thinking the tutu might make for some adorable Christmas photos!
So there it is! My attempt at a homemade costume! I’m pretty proud of myself since nothing fell apart.
What did your kiddos dress up as this year? And did you buy or make their costumes?

Ok. This is seriously adorable! You have mad sewing skills! The cape looks AH-mazing! And "M" is just as cute as always!
Thank you, lady! Yes, I do have mad sewing skills.. if you don't look at it closely ;) I am pretty happy with how it turned out though!
