Our living room has been a huge challenge for me in every way possible. From the layout, to the color scheme, and every thing in between… it’s been really testing my nerves. But my sanity has been saved, thanks to a dress. Yes, a dress. I was getting my daily dose of Pinterest the other day, when I found this pin {I couldn't find the original source}:
My first thought was that this dress would look great hanging from a curtain rod in my living room. Am I the only one who didn’t think it would look good hanging from a rod in their closet instead? Yes? Oh. But I can’t help myself because this color combination is gorgeous. So I started searching for similar color combinations.
That’s when I found this:

And I officially fell in love with coral. Using this color has never crossed my mind before. Thank you lady in the beautiful dress for making me take notice. Look how pretty the walls are in this living room:
I love the pop of color that coral adds to a room. I can almost feel the breeze coming through the windows when I picture myself relaxing in this room with a cold drink in my hand:

You could go more bold by painting the walls in a shade of coral. The white helps keep it from being too overpowering in this space:

If I’m not careful, I could end up with it in every room of our house. It looks beautiful with pale turquoises and blues like in this darling dining room:

This has to be one of the coolest little dining rooms ever:
And don’t forget the bedroom! Coral can be very calm and inviting like in this lovely retreat:

Wouldn’t you like to rise and shine in this bedroom? I know I would! It’s so bright and cheerful. I might not be in such a bad mood in the mornings if I woke up in this room:

I can’t wait to get started on our living room! No more thinking about color choices and trying to incorporate my old favorite. Goodbye yellow, you’ve been replaced.
So what do you think?? Are you inspired by all these beautiful rooms?? If I don’t change my mind before I start decorating, prepare to see a lot more coral!!

Ah I know see why you chose to remodel your blog in coral as well. Nicely done I might add! Good luck on your living room and I look forward to see what you come up with (:
You caught me! :)
Those colors are gorgeous!!!!
I know!! I was going to redo my living room in coral, but that picture of the bedroom has me really wanting it in my bedroom now!
I love coral! I'm getting ready for a craft room make-over & I'm going to use coral as my *pop* against chocolate and sage. My palette all started from a cool throw pillow I got on clearance several years ago. I look forward to seeing your transformations.
That sounds so pretty!! I hope you'll be sharing your makeover on your blog! I was just thinking about coral and chocolate brown today and wondered how they would look together. I currently have beige, gray, and brown in my living room. So I'm trying to figure out if I should change it all, or just add some coral!
Do what I do, start with something small and go from there. I think a few coral pieces would be a good way to (cheaply) give your room a new look.
I was trying to find a palette for our guest room and this post has totally inspired me! I love this color. I think I will have to pin all these photos now. Thanks!
Isn't it pretty??!! I would have NEVER thought about using this color until I saw that dress. I'm just having a problem deciding where to use it now! I'm completely in love with your blog by the way. I'm going back tonight to pin my life away! :)
Awwww dang! Now I want to redo the bedroom, I love the coral with touches of light blue/aqua-so fresh!
Thanks, I think;)

Ooops, sorry! You caught the coral bug and it's all my fault! Your hubby is going to be mad at me ;) But coral is so pretty! And I love the aqua combo too.
I love coral! I just redid my daughter's room in coral.
Me too! I can't wait to see your daughter's room! I hope you posted it already so I can find it when I visit your blog tonight! :)
