Brown Paper Bag Popcorn and Free Printable

One day long ago, I discovered the most amazing thing ever. Yes! I’m talking about brown bag popcorn! It’s definitely one of my favorite tricks. And a cute printable turns this into a sweet treat for your little Valentines this year!Brown Bag Popcorn and Free Valentine PrintableIt might take a little experimenting to get the kernel to microwave-time ratio right {depending on your microwave}. I put 1/3 cup of popcorn kernels in a brown paper lunch bag. Then folded the top over about an inch. And folded it over once more. I lay it fold-side down in the microwave {not sure that’s necessary but it just feels right}, and set it for 2 minutes. And out comes a perfect bag of popcorn! You can then add salt, butter, oil, and any other flavoring you like! Or just eat it plain!Brown Bag Popcorn and Free Valentine PrintableNow turn it into an extra special treat for your kiddos to come home to this Valentine’s Day {or any other day of the year}! Just print out the free printable below, and cut the cards out {I left a small white border around the edge of mine}. Take a brown paper lunch bag {not the one you’re making popcorn in} and while it’s still folded, trim the bag to the size you want by cutting the top with decorative scissors or pinking shears. Or regular scissors. It doesn’t have to be fancy! Use a glue stick to attach your printaable card to the front of the bag. Then just open the bag and fill it with your brown bag popcorn! And repeat until you’ve filled all the bags you need!Brown Bag Popcorn and Free Valentine PrintableI made these popcorn bag printables with the champagne texture overlays and the love spell overlay from Life-n-Reflection. The love spell overlay is a FREE download too! You can add such a special touch to your photos with these overlays and they are gorgeous! I was so excited to work with these when Kristy sent them to me this month, and I can’t wait to use them on pictures of my little goob!

Since these aren’t traditional Valentine’s Day colors, you can use them anytime you want to make your kids {or significant other} a special treat! And they match the brown bag really well. ;)

You could always put one of these cards in a lunchbox with a little bag of popcorn too! Super cute! Any other fun ideas you can think of? I want to hear them!

The last recipe I found for Brown Paper Bag popcorn included oil. My attempt resulted in using the fire extinguisher and my husband banning me from the microwave for a while!

I'm happy to see no oil here and will definitely give this a go soon!

    Thanks for sharing!

OHHHHHH! MY GOSH! That is crazy! And scary! I would never want to help you catch your microwave on fire, so I hope this way works well for you! And I hope hubby still lets you keep your microwaving privileges ;)
